Fruit fly research part of effort to protect human health from toxic chemicals

(Clemson University) Researchers with Clemson University Center for Human Genetics will explore the genetic underpinnings of susceptibility to environmental toxicants using Drosophila melanogaster, the common fruit fly, as part of a major research project by a Precision Toxicology consortium.
